Sea Ranch Lakes is a small community of about 700 residents located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterways, limits to the north with Pompano Beach and to the south with the City of Fort Lauderdale at only 3 miles and is only 20 minutes from Fort Lauderdale International Airport.
A walled community served by its own police force is a fully constituted and has its own mayor, village counsel and a municipal code. There is no commercial area except for a small strip shopping mall outside the gates and the city relies in Pompano Beach or Lauderdale by the sea for shopping, restaurants and city entertainment.
