Get in the spirit with these DIY Halloween decoration ideas

- Spook up the front porch: first impressions are everything. It’s the first thing your guests will see when arriving at your party, or what trick-or-treaters will encounter on Halloween night. It’s pretty easy to transform with a festive entrance rug, lanterns and piles of pumpkins.
- Limit your color palette: want to design like a pro? Play close attention to your color palette and stick to it. It will create a tight, consistent feel that will be subtly spooky. Try a black/white palette with a splash of orange.
- Black-cat pumpkins: Want to use all those pumpkins without carving them up? Paint them black and use some paper stock from around the house to create the ears and whiskers.
