Fort Lauderdales food scene continues to grow in the summer of 2018
Fun, sun and food – what’s not to love? The food scene in Fort Lauderdale is maturing into one of the best. Here’s a recent list of hot restaurants you need to visit:
Amarena Bakery & Bistro
Pastry chef Ariel Oyarzabal from Argentina has developed a menu for Amarena that offers European-style cakes like opera and mil hojas, and profiterol as well as Argentine prerequisites, alfajor cake, Rogel, and Balcarce. They also serve classic Bistro flavor like mini tarts, bonbons, cake pops, petit fours, and cupcakes as well as a hearty selection of savory treats.
Burlock Coast Seafare & Spirits
Hells Kitchen runner-up and Broward native Paula DaSilva has been involved with great Miami spots like Artisan Beach House and 1500 Degrees, and now she’s back at Burlock Coast located in the Ritz in Fort Lauderdale. Specialities include seafood options like charred octopus, pork belly tacos and a great brunch menu.
The Wilder
This one has flavor on the menu and atmosphere. With two stocked bars and an outdoor patio this is a great place to go with friends during happy hour (weekdays 4pm-7pm) and get small plates like short rib poutine or hearts of palm tacos.
