About Pinecrest Homes

Pinecrest is an upscale village in Miami-Dade County. It is bordered by Coral Gables to the east, Palmetto Bay to the south, and South Miami to the northeast. Pinecrest is home to over 18300 residents, according to the last census. The area has one of the most expensive zip codes in the country.
Pinecrest started developing in the 1950s and 1960s with the construction of ranch styles homes on one-acre lots, which gave the village its rural residential character.
Today, the village is one of the most sought-after family-friendly communities in South Florida with a selection of homes to choose from. Most properties are situated on oversized lots in prestigious areas of Pinecrest and were built with the most exquisite details and finishes. Pinecrest homes for sale include dazzling features, such as pools, gyms, patios, modern kitchens, and wine cellars.
When the community started growing in the 1930s, the founders developed a 20-acre garden under the name of Parrot Jungle and Gardens. It quickly turned into an international attraction visited by many celebrities, including Sir Winston Churchill. The area is now a community center called Pinecrest Gardens. However, it’s not the only green space in Pinecrest. The village is known for its many parks that reflect the lush landscaping and natural resources of its environment. Coral Pine Park, Evelyn Greer Park, and Flagler Grove Park are few popular choices. They feature sports areas, playgrounds, recreational centers, and many other amenities.
When it comes to shopping, Pinecrest offers many options. Dadeland Mall in Kendall Drive is a large complex with over 180 stores and a food court. The Falls, west of US-1, is an open-air complex with aesthetic designs and a great space to shop and enjoy the tropical landscaping.
Pinecrest boasts some of the most prime homes in the Miami area. The sprawling estates are perfectly designed and planned on spacious lots nestled in profuse vegetation. It is no wonder why many big names choose to reside in Pinecrest.
