November brings some great food events to South Florida
Nov. 9-11 (Pompano): The Walgreens Gridiron Grill-Off is a food, wine and music festival with a twist: it groups local chefs with ex-NFL players (thus the name). In addition to the celebrity component, they also have a BBQ event as well as musical acts featuring Vince Gill, Barenaked Ladies, Daughtry.
Nov. 15 (Fort Lauderdale and Boca): Casa D’Angelo kicks off a series of white-truffle dinners at its Fort Lauderdale flagship, 1201 N. Federal Highway, at 7 p.m. It includes a multiple-course dinner with truffles and wine pairing.
Nov. 30 (Fort Lauderdale): Dune restaurant is scheduled to open at the new Auberge Beach Residences and Spa in Fort Lauderdale, 2200 N. Ocean Blvd. You can read more about it here.
