Chef Dean Max is opening Even Keel Fish and Oyster in Fort Lauderdale
Chef Dean Max, known for his work with 3030 Ocean at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort has been operating restaurants in California, Texas, Oklahoma, Grand Cayman Island and the Bahamas for the past 5 years since he left the South Florida area.
Now he’s back and making another splash with Even Keel Fish and Oyster opening in January 2019 at 4100 N. Federal Highway.
As for the motivation for the return?
“So many locals and visitors just want a good piece of fish and some fresh seafood, but where can you go to get that?” said Max in an interview with SouthFlorida.com, “A lot of those old Florida seafood houses are gone.”
