The venue built in 1950 is getting some new life courtesy of the Florida Panthers
War Memorial Auditorium is getting a large renovation – and some hockey related additions.
The makeover will be courtesy of the Florida Panthers, and plans to overhaul the facility that’s been host to many different events over the years.
As art of the project, a new building on the 95 acre property will be erected that will house two ice rinks: one to serve as the Panther’s full-time practice facility, and the other to be a community rink to serve local hockey leagues.
